“I am a wife and mother of six children and must commend MUIIS for changing my life. In the beginning it was quite challenging to get farmers onboard. Some did not trust us but when I engaged the local council, church and other opinion leaders my work became easier. We were always given an opportunity to speak about MUIIS at most community gatherings. Farmer enrollment onto the MUIIS platform shot up and I started earning so much money. I have used my allowances to build a nursery budding orange seedlings which I supply to National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) at 3,500 Uganda shillings (1 USD) per seedling! If it had not been for the MUIIS networks I have built through my work, I would not have been able to get this opportunity. When I am paid, I hope to buy a small car, finish my house and open a produce shop for Maize, Beans, Rice and Groundnuts. I already have the market so it should go well.”
